Supporting Parents, Promoting Learning
Preventing children from dropping out of school begins with caring for families. Poverty, unemployment, lack of education, and addiction can result in parents abandoning their children or severely neglecting them. Conversely, with lack of basic provision of food, clothing and shelter, young people look outside the family for their needs to be met. This can have devastating results for generations. The Bright Future project focuses on helping young children stay in school and succeed, while at the same time giving parents the care that they need in order to keep their families together. This is done through individual tutoring and life-enrichment activities for children, with an equal emphasis on parent advocacy and training.
